The Waste2Surf project team invites you to join the informative webinar about the project’s results. The webinar will be held on March 16, 2022, at 11:00 online.
The Waste2Surf project was started on October 1, 2020, and is now right in the middle of its implementation. Several interesting results have been obtained both, in computational and lab experiments. In the informative webinar, the project team will discuss and share the results and further activities.
The aim of the project is to establish a process design workflow for biotechnological production including long-term sustainability modelling, microbial strain design and bioprocess development for sustainable bioconversion of industrial biowaste – waste lipids (used cooking oil, animal fats and others) collected from food production and catering industry into highly valuable biosurfactants.
The webinar will feature presentations by the team members from the Computational Systems Biology Group, Laboratory of Yeast Nutritional Physiology and JSC Biotehniskais Centrs.
