Researcher from our team, Rui Tavares, participated in the 10th Disease Maps Community Meeting (DMCM 2026), held on 5-7th of October at the University of Rostock, Germany.

The meeting featured keynote lectures, contributed presentations, poster sessions, panel discussions and community workshops focused on advancing disease map technologies and their applications in biomedical research.

DMCM has become one of the leading community events for researchers developing mechanistic models of disease processes and translating biological knowledge into computable frameworks. Discussions during the meeting covered emerging approaches in disease modelling, artificial intelligence-assisted knowledge curation, systems biology methods and the future clinical applications of disease maps.

Participation in DMCM 2026 reinforces RSU's commitment to international collaboration and to the development of advanced computational methods that can support a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms and ultimately contribute to improved patient care.
