As we are currently working on several research projects (e.g. GenCon, Waste2Surf, CryZym) together with the JSC Biotehniskais Centrs, we thought it would be a great idea to see their experimental facilities at work. At the beginning of July our group visited JSC Biotehniskais Centrs.
First, Juris Vanags (Chairman of the Board) held a presentation about bioreactors, their design, operation modes and application. After that we were guided around the company e.g., we visited Fermentation Laboratory where also experiments of Waste2surf project are carried out, as well as bioreactor assembly lab.
