"The fNIRS set up used for non-invasive brain imaging during a Brain-Computer Interface research project. Near-infrared light is emitted by the optodes and reflected by oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin, allowing researchers to track oxygen consumption dynamics in the brain. Higher consumption in contrast to resting-state effectively indicates which regions of the brain experience more activity during task execution"

"When not in a lab or office, i enjoy taking my work, studies or reading outside. Limited internet access allows to dig deeper into the resources and ideas at hand and breaking up thinking periods with a hike or a bike ride is always a nice way to free up head space and rest."

"Observation is a fundamental aspect in general comprehension and I've found drawing and painting to be an enjoyable way to excersize this skill. Identifying key characteristics is especially tricky when trying to get a likeness, which is why its always a fun process of spending time working on portraits in particular and seeing which small adjustments capture the right idea."
