On March 16, 2022, we will organize a seminar about the GenCon project, its concept and potential solutions.
The GenCon project was started on June 1, 2021, right in the middle of the global pandemic. Despite a complicated start we have made some progress. In the informative seminar we will discuss and share our experience so far.
The main aim of the project GenCon ("Genome scale metabolic modeling linked bioreactor control system", Project No. 1.1.1.1/20/A/137) is to use metabolic engineering of the strains of interest to control fermentation with online measurements. The control system will use “markers” that are measurable and can indicate the state of fermentation.
The seminar will feature presentations by representatives of the Computational Systems Biology Group, as well as our partner JSC Biotehniskais Centrs - a manufacturer of bioreactors.
