Poster prize at SfAM ECR meeting

Congratulations to our colleague Anna Stikane, who won the prize for the best poster presentation at the Society for Applied Microbiology (SfAM) Early Career Scientist Symposium in Cardiff, UK. At the event, Anna presented the results of the Fer2Fer project on spent microbial biomass (SMB) showcasing her work on estimating the amount of SMB and the potential value of this commonly overlooked biomass. Well done, Anna!

The funds were received within the post-doctoral research project “Sustainable valorisation of fermentation waste by microbial metabolic modeling and extension of fermentation cascades (Fer2Fer)” (Project No. 1.1.1.2/VIAA/4/20/610).
