On March 21, 2016 the first meeting of the COST-project "Harmonising standardisation strategies to increase efficiency and competitiveness of European life-science research" (CHARME).
CHARME will increase the awareness for the need of standards, enabling the reuse of research data and its interoperability within the scientific community. CHARME will provide a common ground for researchers from academia, research institutes, SMEs and multinational organizations.
Leaders of the project and work groups were elected. Plans for the first year of activities were drafted. Agris Pentjuss and Egils Stalidzans both are Latvian representatives in Managing Committee.
