CryZym informative seminar

On March 16, 2022, researchers from the Computational Systems Biology Group together with project partners JSC Biotehniskais centrs and the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry will inform researchers and the general public about the results of the project "Crypthecodinium cohnii and Zymomonas mobilis syntrophy for production of omega 3 fatty acid from byproducts of biofuel and sugar industry" (CryZym Project No.1.1.1.1/18/A/022). In this project, omega-3 fatty acids were produced from industrial by-products, i.e. glycerol and molasses, thus creating a prototype for a new technology.

In this seminar we will present project-related publications to biotechnologists and researchers from different disciplines. All groups involved will present the main research findings of the CryZym project. The seminar will be moderated by its scientific leader Egils Stalidzans.
