Agris Pentjuss, the member of Biosystems Group, Latvia University of Agriculture and Computational Systems Biology group, Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology, received a doctoral degree (Dr.sc.ing.) in early afternoon of March 11, 2016. The discussion around thesis "Stoichiometric models creation and analysis procedures for metabolic engineering" covers both information technology and biology as it was expected in this interdisciplinary work. The published applications of the newly developed tools and algorithms were found very important proofs of applicability of Agris' results.
