We welcome Ehsan Motamedian to our team

We welcome Ehsan Motamedian to our team. His research focuses on the reconstruction of genome-scale metabolic networks and the development of algorithms and tools to analyze the networks.

Dr. Ehsan Motamedian received his PhD from the Biotechnology Research Laboratory, School of Chemical, Petroleum and gas engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology (Tehran, Iran) in 2011. The main purpose of his thesis was to develop a linear algorithm for finding multiple optimal flux distributions in a metabolic network.

After graduation, in 2012 he worked as a postdoc researcher at Pasteur Institute of Iran. His project was about metabolic modelling of drug-resistant cancer cells. Since 2012, he has been working as an assistant professor pursuing both academic and research career in the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Tarbiat Modares University (Tehran, Iran).

Presently, He is a researcher at the University of Latvia, Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Computational Systems Biology Group.
