Open seminar on the application of electrodialysis technology in nutrient recovery from digestate

We are excited to announce that a post-doctoral researcher, Jizhong Meng, from the University of Galway (Ireland), has joined our institute and will work with us for the next three weeks. He is visiting our group as part of the Short term scientific mission of the EU COST Action CA20133 Cross-Border Transfer and Development of Sustainable Resource Recovery Strategies Towards Zero Waste (FULLRECO4US).

Jizhong Meng is a postdoctoral researcher with over 7 years of experience in wastewater treatment and waste valorization. Recently awarded a PhD degree from the University of Galway, his expertise lies in developing innovative solutions for efficient wastewater treatment and extracting value from waste materials.

The overall purpose of the STSM is to foster knowledge exchange and international cooperation between the research groups of the applicant and the host institutions. During the research visit, Jizhong will work on building a database with information on solutions available for biochemical valorization.

We will host an open seminar on July 11 where Jizhong will present his research.

Seminar details are provided below.

Date: July 11, 2023

Time: 14:00 (UTC +02:00)

Location: Room 701 (7th floor), House of Nature, University of Latvia, Jelgavas iela 1, Riga, LV-1004.

We are looking forward to seeing you there and hearing about Jizhong's fascinating research. Let's come together to support and learn from our visiting researcher.
